Odyssey. A story for Hollywood.
Facing the ultra-conservative policy of the Polish government in place, Krzysztof Warlikowski seeks to resist amnesia intended to distort History, by comparing the odyssey of Ulysses and the modern one of Izolda. This woman provoked her own deportation to find her husband. Years later, she tells her story to the famous novelist Hanna Krall. This is a show about the atrocity of war, the immensity of hope, the immortality of narratives, with a brutal and immersive staging, in which poetry nevertheless manages to exist.
