13-year-old Jeannette’s project is to kill war. War which deepens misery and destroys all foundations. Buildings fall apart as do beliefs and trust. Jeanette is minding sheep in a world at war. The grass is green, she is under an oak tree, the sheep are grazing but all is threatened.
Frédéric Fisbach takes on Charles Péguy’s text and, with dramaturg Charlotte Farcet’s help, plunges into writing. He opposes The Mystery of Joan of Ark’s Charity to the words of his 83-year-old Cairo-born mother, who arrived in France at the age of 17 and became French aged 28. A frontal collision, from one Jeannette to another.

Un atelier dramaturgique autour de la création Vivre ! a été mené par Frédéric Fisbach en juin et juillet 2020, avec des élèves du Conservatoire national supérieur d’art dramatique* et de l’Ecole supérieure d’art dramatique de la ville de Paris.**
En lien avec les réflexions qui ont habité Frédéric Fisbach dans ce contexte très particulier post-COVID, le metteur en scène a proposé aux étudiants de les accompagner dans l’écriture d’une fiction courte. En écho avec la pièce, le point de départ de cet atelier est l’année 2026. Que seraient nos vies ? Dans quel monde vivrions-nous ? Le théâtre existerait-il encore ? Sous quelle forme ?
Les séances se sont tenues par visio-conférence, en groupe et lors de rendez-vous individuels.
